MyPlate Challenges in SuperTracker
Did you know that SuperTracker, the interactive food and activity tracking tool from MyPlate, has a built in challenge feature? Challenges are available to SuperTracker groups and encourage healthy eating and physical activity through friendly competition.
There are many to choose from:
MyPlate, MyWins Challenge: simple 2-day challenge to eat foods from all 5 food groups and be physically active.
MyPlate Challenge: 5-week challenge that encourages participants to eat foods from all 5 food groups and be physically active. Each week, a new food group is introduced.
MyPlate Plus Challenge: Same as the MyPlate Challenge plus 3 extra days focused on staying under limit in added sugars, saturated fat, and sodium.
Custom Challenge: Select your own challenge components and timeframe.
How to Get Started
Anyone can create a SuperTracker group challenge and invite others to join, e.g. teachers, parents, worksite wellness coordinators or health professionals. Here’s how to get started:
Invite others to join via email or with your group code at SuperTracker.usda.gov/join
Create a challenge for your group – Watch this video for a step-by-step tutorial
Participants use SuperTracker’s Quick Tracker to record their foods and physical activities during the challenge. They’ll earn points and get progress updates along the way.
